Step1. Provisional booking
Provisional booking comprises the clients selecting the mermaid and booking a video and submitting accompanying information (message, delivery time, environment etc.). The requested mermaid will be automatically notified (via email) of the provisional booking.
Unavailability.
If the Selected mermaid cannot produce video in the timeframe requested by the client (48 hours or 7 days). Then they are required to immediately inform Making Mermaids, who will offer a replacement performer to the client.
Step 2. Confirmed booking
The client will then be forwarded to the payment portal where payment is made to Making Mermaids. Upon receiving payment, Making Mermaids will confirm the booking with the selected performer (or alternate) whose duty is to then produce the shello video within the prescribed time and to the prescribed standards.
Step 3. Shello Production
The performer mermaid will then produce the required video within the time slot available. They will produce to the specifications of Making Mermaids and the client’s written request.
Following production, the mermaid performer is required to upload an edited video onto their youtube channel on a dedicated playlist (video to be ‘unlisted’. The URL to the video is then to be submitted to the client on the Making Mermaids website, the client will receive a branded email, personal note, and URL link to the Shello video
Step 4. Performer Payment
If the video is submitted within time frame and meets the specifications required, Making Mermaids will make a payment of 75% of the gross fee into the performer’s selected back account. This will typically be made within 7 days of submitting video.
If client is dissatisfied with video, Making Mermaids will negotiate to determine if reshooting is possible. If not, Making Mermaids retains the right to refund the client in full. In such cases, the performing mermaid forfeits any payment.
