My name is Max, and I’m 8 years old. Ever since I learned about Professor Weedy’s and his mermaid research, I knew I wanted to help. I became a citizen scientist in his team so I could look for mermaids and other ocean mysteries! I haven’t seen a mermaid yet, but I love searching—watching the waves, checking rock pools, and even looking in deep lakes.

Whenever I find something strange, like a weird fish or glowing seaweed, I photograph it, write down a description, and send it to Professor Weedy. He always says real scientists have to be patient, and every clue helps. One day, I will see a mermaid! Until then, I’ll keep looking, learning, and helping uncover the secrets of the sea.
